Italy cozies up to the Alps alongside lakes lined within charming villages, elegant old villas, castles and medieval towers. Plus we will have a day or two in Milan, an international fashion center with a beautiful historic city center and much art. Day trip into Switzerland. We will do easy walks and moderate hikes. Explore lovely Venice.
Details:
- We stay in two lakeside towns. First on Lake Como, then on Lake Maggiore. We spend a day in Milan, seeing Leonardo di Vinci's Last Supper and the fashion district. There is the option of an extra day in Milan.
- The day walks or hikes are easy to moderate. We take a funicular car or train up and walk in the Italian Alps and walk back down or ride down. Easy options are available.
- In Venice we will walk the canal ways and explore two nearby islands, Murano and Guidecca.
- Accommodations are in small hotels or an apartment, rooms with private bathrooms, in the historic center just steps from the lake.
Cost: $3,970. Includes Venice. Includes airfare. You may also make your own air arrangements.

- Accommodations for 13 nights. Double occupancy. Single rooms for $200 more.
- All transportation, including ground transportation.
