May 29, I meet you at the airport. (1 night in Salerno, where the Allies landed in 1943), a beautiful sea port.
May 30, Visit three massive Greek temples in Paestum (1 night in Paestum). On the UNESCO World Heritage List.
May 31, Take a train south to Spadola, a tiny town in the forested mountains. Walk to The Priory, a working Carthusian Monestary. (2 nights in Spadola)
June 1, Walk through beech and oak forests.
June 2, Train to Alberobello, a village of white cone-shaped stone houses. (2 nights in a cone-shaped Trulli) On the UNESCO World Heritage List.
June 3, Walk the forest path to Logrono, 6 miles.
June 4, Train and bus to Amalfi. (4 nights in Amalfi). Hike to the castle ruins. On the UNESCO World Heritage List.
June 5, Hike the Road of the Gods to Positano.
June 6, Bus or walk up to Ravello, walk back to Amalfi.
June 7, Walk from Amalfi, through Atrani to Maiori.
June 8, Bus to San Agnello, a small town on the Sorrento Pennisula. (4 nights in San Agnello).
June 9, Visit Pompeii and hike Mt. Vesuvius. On the UNESCO World Heritage List.
June 10, Visit Naples for a day to see the Archelogical Museum and watch a cameo being carved. On the UNESCO World Heritage List.
June 11, Private boat to the Isle of Capri, walk up to Roman Emperor Tiberius's summer villa. Visit the Blue Grotto.
June 12,
Fly back to USA from Naples.
