Terms, Italy 2012

September 19 to October 1, 2012. Includes Venice.

October 3 to 12, 2012, Venice as an optional add-on is through October 15.

1. REGISTRATION. Includes completed registration form and $500. Deadline is February 29, 2012. Total cost is $3,400. 10 nights. (With Venice, 13 nights) Balance ($2,900, or $3,470 with Venice) is due Monday, April 23 (April 9 for the September trip) 2012. We will have a pre-trip meeting April 23, 2012 (April 9, for the September trip) , Monday at 7:00 pm, at my condo. You can bring the balance to the meeting.

2. GROUP SIZE. Maximum of 6 fit, fun people.

3. INCLUDES. Airfare (optional). All ground transporation, (including ferry), lodging, guide. EXTRA: All meals. Entrance fees to sights and museums.

4. Walks in small villages and towns. Moderate hiking. We take a cable car or train up and hike around on top, and ride or walk back down. Mileage is up to 6 miles. This is not a fast pace. We are here to enjoy the country. See the itinerary for more details.

5. AIRFARE. Airfare from Eugene or another major aiport is included. Please let me know if you want to make your own flight arrangements.

6. LODGING. Comfortable small hotels with private bathrooms.

7. CANCELLATIONS. Before April 23, (April 9 for the September trip) there is full refund less $100. After that date, no refunds can be made as I will have booked the airfare. No refunds on any unused or canceled services once the tour has begun.

8. PASSPORT. You need a passport. I need a copy of it with your registration, please.

9. INSURANCE. Trip insurance is strongly suggested to allow for any unexpected contingencies in your personal circumstances. This can be purchased through a travel agent or online.

10. LUGGAGE. You need a small suitcase, preferably on rollers. You will carry it on and off a train, to and from your room every day. Bring a small daypack to carry your picnic lunch.

11. TRAVELER'S CONTRIBUTION. You MUST be fit enough to do the walk. Although we try to eliminate as much uncertainly as possible, it is part of traveling. Being ready to adjust will enhance your experience.
