Morocco 2011 Tour
Hiking and Cultural

May, 2011
1. Explore Roman ruins, the Saharan dunes and ride a camel.
2. Day hikes in the High Atlas Mountains.
3. Visit four sites on the UNESCO World Heritage list, Fez, Marrakesh, Meknes, and Ait Ben Haddou.

Exclusives on Walk With Me Tour:

  1. Visit the home of my adopted Berber family in the Middle Atlas Mountains. You sip mint tea with the family, watch the women bake bread and make tajine. Try your hand at carpet weaving! The dignified and handsome Berbers are the indigenous people of Morocco, encountered by Phoenicians in 1,100 BC.
  2. Easy, spectacular walks off the tourist trail: tiny villages, palmeries of date, almond, pomegranate, fig trees and deep medieval neighborhoods of Marrakech. Also, some steep mountain trails.
  3. Casual pace for spontaneous encounters or adventures.
  4. Intimate tour group of a maximum of six fun folks.

    Cost:
Morocco: Hiking and Cultural Tour. 13 nights.
$4,100 Includes airfare and a camel ride.
Extras are lunches and 6 dinners.

Read "Smitten by Morocco" story of meeting my adopted Berber family. My Berber family now offers a guesthouse and tours, see Meet My Morocco.

Satisfied Customers:

"I enjoyed going with you and meeting the Berber family. That is something I could not have done any other way. I really enjoyed your taking us to out of the way places. I really enjoyed that."

"I would like to thank you for arranging, and pulling off, such an interesting /up front and personal semi-immersion into Morocco. My 20 year old daughter first asked "Did you have fun?" She will probably never fully understand the depth of what you arranged for us, with the Kerrou family and all."
Rick Grosscup, 2007
