Spain, Way of St. James Pilgrim Path

1. REGISTRATION. Includes completed registration form and $500. Registration deadline is March 1, 2012.
Total cost is $3,300. 15 nights. Based on double occupancy.
Balance ($2,800) is due Monday, April 23, 2012. You can bring it to our pre-trip meeting that evening, 7 pm, at my condo.

2. GROUP SIZE. Maximum of 6 fun, fit people.

3. INCLUDES. Airfare. All ground transportation,15 nights lodging in private rooms, guide, map, luggage transport, most breakfasts. Extras are lunch and dinner (about $550) and trip insurance.

4. AIRFARE. Airfare is included from Eugene or another major airport. Please write your frequent flyer miles on the registration form, if you would like to use them.

5. WALKING is an European term for hiking. There are stone paths, some gravel trails, lots of asphalt. It is not flat! Alternating between hiking boots and good walking sandals relieves pressure points.

6. LODGING. Private rooms in small hotels. There may occasionally be a shared bathroom.

7. CANCELLATIONS. Before April 23, there is full refund less $100. After that date, no refunds can be made. No refunds on any unused or canceled services once the tour has begun. The airline tickets are non-refundable and it is difficult to get the hotel refund.

8. PASSPORT. You need a passport. I need a copy of it with your registration, please.

9. INSURANCE. Trip insurance is strongly suggested to allow for any unexpected contingencies in your personal circumstances. This can be purchased through a travel agent or online.

10. LUGGAGE. You need a small suitcase, preferably on rollers. I use a day pack. The transport company will carry one bag per person. You will carry it to and from your room every day. Bring a small daypack to carry your picnic lunch and whatever else you need for the day. There is NO sag wagon.

11. TRAVELER'S CONTRIBUTION.Be fit. Be fun. You MUST be fit enough to do the walk. Although we try to eliminate as much uncertainly as possible, it is part of traveling. Being ready to adjust will enhance your experience.
